Arashi Fanfic - Snapshot Chapter 2

Hello once again and now I bring you the second chapter of my fanfic Snapshot. Note here though.. There's a certain part here where I used Hikari from the Decision fanfic of Hikari-chan herself. Please do read her story and I guarantee you that you'll enjoy every moment of it. Nothing much to discuss here, so do read the story and comment. I would love to get feedbacks from you guys ^-^

“Aaaannnddd TAKE!” At the very words, the people inside TBS studio clapped and congratulated Arashi for a job well done on their newest music video, Step and Go. Arashi, who are quite used to this set up, was able to give pleasant smiles to those around them. Though tired and a wee bit irritated due to the fact that they lack rest, they were still able to keep their cool.

It was all part of their job.. Singing, dancing, hosting, modelling, acting.. All of it are done to entertain people who look up on them. Their fans to be exact; the people who pay unbelievable amount of money to purchase their merchandises and watch their concerts. That’s what the members of Johnny Jimusho does.. They can’t complain though. If it’s wasn’t for the company, they wouldn’t be where they are now.

“Finally!” Nino commented as soon as they entered their personal dressing room. Aiba and Sho sat on the couch while Jun and Ohno grabbed several bottles of water and threw the remaining ones to their friends. “But that was fun.” He added.

Ohno smiled at this fact. “Well, it wasn’t as colourful as our previous music videos but I was thoroughly tired with our acts.. I mean, jumping all around while singing..” He laughed at this. “It’s difficult to kept jumping and turning around in different forms..”

Aiba nodded eagerly at this. “Hai! I’m still dizzy.. Especially that back flip thing I did.. They made me do it about.. What? Five times?!” He complained as he gulped the water down. “Riida also stepped on my foot when he landed after that jump.. It hurts a lot!” He added and sighed “And I really wanna sleep..” Stressing on the last word as he laid his head on the couch.

Sho simply smiled and shook his head. “If your fans can hear you complain right now, they would be positively shocked..” Fellow Arashi members laughed at this. Aiba was a good guy really. He tends to complain a wee bit when he lack sleep and rest, which was happening to all of them now. After his comment, he quickly took his phone out from his pocket then pressed on the number ‘1’, waited for the other line to pick up and gave a overly bright sunny smile as the other line finally answered. “Hiki-chan..” He greeted brightly but his expression changed quickly into amusement as he tried to hide his laugh. “Gomen.. I forgot it’s kinda early there.. Don’t be mad..” Sho stressed as he tried to calm the already agitated woman on the other line.

At this sight, Jun gave a small laugh as he knew who he was calling. “Oi, at least rest for a while.. Hikari can wait..” He joked and in return, Sho threw him the nearest thing he can reach.. Luckily, it was a book Sho was reading. Jun was about to playfully comment on the way Sho spoil Hikari when Johnny showed up. “Eh? Johnny-san..” He greeted as the others greeted him as well, save for Sho who gave a small nod and walked to the corner to talk to Hikari, lowering his voice and holding a serious expression to hide his true thoughts.

As much as Arashi hated it, they hid Sho and Hikari’s relationship to Johnny. They knew they can’t hide it for long but for the mean time, they thought this is the right thing to do. They can’t let Johnny Jimusho destroy such dream-like relationship. A fan and her idol.. As difficult as it may be, they are doing it for their friend.

“It’s our break, Johnny-san..” Aiba complained, trying to interrupt Johnny’s stare on Sho by bringing on his already-irritated-wanna-complain-everything attitude. “We worked for three days straight with only 3 hours of sleep each days and you did promised us that today’s our break..” He mumbled as he took the pillow beside him and placed it at the back of his head, closing his eyes for a bit.

“Ok.. I get it already, Aiba-kun..” Johnny answered and looked at the other three members of Arashi. “I know you guys are looking forward for today’s day off and I’m really sorry for this..” He said as he bowed in apology. Even if Johnny was their boss, he never treated his talents like they were his possessions. That made them respect Johnny more. “But.. We have an appointment to attend..” Arashi gave a frustrated groan at this. They appreciate the things Johnny do for them but he should at least try to give them some time to relax.. “I promised.. I know.. But this one’s very sudden and the only schedule where we can talk with the photographer is today..” At this point, Johnny placed a folder over the coffee table in front of them and extracted a contract which he signed.

Arashi looked at him weirdly. And Jun took the contract, scanned it and his eyes widened. “Sakura Magazine?” He asked, his face wearing a ghastly mask. “But I thought you said we were not to do any transaction with that magazine..”

“Yeah.. Something about the editor in chief being an ass or something like that..” Ohno supplied, taking the contract from Jun and scanned it. Nino and Aiba was peering at the back as Sho walked towards them and scanned the contract, his mobile phone still on his ear.

Johnny nodded and smiled at this. “I know.. But this time, it’s different.. The editor in chief quit the company for whatever reason and now, the magazine’s editor happened to be a very close friend of mine.” He put in and took the contract from them, pointing on the name at the bottom on the contract. “Masaki Haruka is a long time friend of mine. She seldom asks me for favours and so, since the demands are small and they pay well, I accepted it.” He finished.

Sho whispered something to the phone and hanged up. “There’s something into it.. You won’t simply accept a term, even if she is from a close friend, unless there’s an added plus into the deal.” Johnny smiled at Sho and he sighed. “I knew it..” He sighed as she sat beside Ohno. “Speak up..”

“Smart one, Keio Boy..” Johnny complimented as he took a book inside the folder. It was more of a paperback issue. It was entitled ‘Chocolat’ and he smiled more as Arashi scanned the paperback. It was a paperback photobook that Haruka gave Johnny and it was the one which made him agree to sign the contract.

Ohno’s eyes were literally huge as he scanned the pages. There are times where he would stop Sho from turning the pages, as if analyzing the photos inside the book. ‘Chocolat’ happened to be a photo collection of this Jo-person which contained the ways of how people would eat chocolates. A paperback photobook published in France. A silly matter to think of but once the photos are seen, there’s a certain effect within the pictures which made the readers awe and stare at the picture for quite some time. There are images of a woman eating a chocolate parfait while looking outside the store window; a middle school student drinking a pack of chocolate drink as she walked towards her school, a child eating a chocolate with messy hands and mouth; lovers sharing a piece of chocolate shake and a lot more photos which had chocolate in it. “The techniques are great..”

Aiba, who had no idea on photography, was able to comment on something Ohno earlier noticed. “Yeah.. Most of the pictures taken are candid.. The subjects doesn’t have any idea that they are shot.. It gave the photos a special effect since the expressions of the people are.. Well.. Natural..”

Jun laughed slightly and this. “If Aiba noticed such detail, this photographer must be really good.” The rest laughed at this as Aiba simply pouted and crossed his arms over his chest.

Nino looked at the last page of the paperback then narrowed his eyes. He then took the took fully from Sho and peered into the first page, the front cover then the back cover. “Jo Sashika..” He blurted out then looked all over the book again. “Only the name was written here.. No picture, no biography, no nothing..” He observed as he placed the book back on the table.

Johnny nodded at this. “Which made Jo mysterious to people. What I knew about him was from what I’ve heard from Haruka. If one wanted to appoint her as their personal photographer for an event or shoot, they have to talk to his secretary.” He tried to remember the information Haruka gave him. “Jo Sashika” He sighed as leaned back on his seat. “A very well trained photographer. Graduated from France with honors and at the age of 23, was able to put up his own photo shoot company here in Japan and called it ‘Liason’.”

“And you are telling us these because.." Ohno asked as he tried to fish more information from Johnny.

“Because.. You will be working with him at your next photo shoot for Sakura Magazine’s Valentines Edition. They were able to cut a deal with Liason and he agreed to be their photographer. They really went all out for this edition..” He pointed out as he started to count off the reason on why he was able to say it. “First, your talent fees are not something a simple magazine company can afford. Second, Liason’s photography fee is also not something a small magazine company can afford.”

“And you did this only for the money?!” Nino asked, flabbergasted. They all knew Johnny wasn’t that kind of person and their thoughts were confirmed as their boss rolled his eyes.

“Baka.. I accepted because it’ll be a very good training ground for you in modelling..” He explained. “You guys have been in the industry for almost nine years and I think you excelled in most areas but personally, I think there are still things which may need improvements.. This time, we’ll try modelling.” He stopped to catch his breath then continued on. “Jo is known for his stern attitude. Very frank and straightforward. Most models backed out on their photo shoot because of this reason but those who survived became better models and their photos came out really great.”

Arashi listened to this and smiled. “We get paid to do training.. Cool..” Sho said and looked at Aiba, who was nodding in agreement. He then shrugged and smiled. “It’ll be a good opportunity for us..”

Ohno nodded in agreement and looked at Johnny. “You said before that we have to meet this.. Jo-person.. What for?”

At this Johnny shrugged. “I don’t even have any idea. It’s the first time I’ve heard that the photographer wanted to do a small interview on his models before the actual shoot.. Maybe it’s something only photographers understand..” He explained then folded both of his hands in a pleading manner. “Please.. Come with me and attend this meeting.. Onneeeggaaaiii…” He pleaded with puppy eyes to match.

Arashi looked at each other then gave a small laugh. They all find this situation interesting and beneficial for the group. Jun then looked at the time. “It’s 3:00 in the afternoon. Where will be going and when’s the meeting?”

Johnny straightened up then gave them all a bright smile. “We have to be there at around 4PM and we’ll be heading to Osaka district. So.. Freshen up, pack up and do whatever you guys need to do. We can’t let him wait too long.. For what I’ve heard, if there’s one thing he really hated, it’s tardiness.. Now.. Move your asses and I’ll meet you at the parking lot in 10 minutes.” With that, Johnny left the room, leaving Arashi to do what he instructed them to do.

“MatsuJun, do remind me to scan these photos.. They’re really good..” Ohno asked Jun as he packed the photo book and the youngest Arashi member simply nodded in reply.

If you do have reached this part, thanks a lot. A small explanation on the part when Johnny used the term 'he' when referring to Jo. It's simply because he presumed 'Jo' to be male. ^-^ Please do look forward on chapter three. I assure that the readers will enjoy the next chapter a lot.
